RealDownloader is perhaps the quickest and simplest online video-downloader for Windows that we've seen. Unlike many of its competitors, when RealDownloader says one-click, it seriously means just one click.

If you upgrade to RealDownloader Plus, you'll be able to copy your downloaded videos to any of a number of devices, including iPhones, Android phones, and more. And you won't have to worry about file formats as the program will do all of the transcoding for you. In addition, you'll get accelerated downloads, download straight to iTunes, and convert to audio functions. So if you want your videos viewable on the go, an upgrade is definitely worth considering.

While RealDownloader did perform impressively in our tests, we do wish it had some richer built-in exporting tools. We would've loved to be able to easily rename files, then export and convert to a desired file format.

• Real Player, which I use to download videos in Firefox, has worked well for a long time. Now it stops working when I download or go to My Library. If I use windows explorer to look at the video files I have downloaded IT stops working.
• Download the latest version of RealPlayer from realplayer.com. Restart your computer and then try your download again. What it means if the steps did not work. If you are still not seeing the Download This Video button, or if you can download some videos but not others.

Overall, if you're looking for a quick and easy utility for downloading online videos (legal content, to which you own the rights), RealDownloader is tops. It's quick, it supports hundreds of Web sites, and it truly does its job in one click.

I would suggest you to try installing Real Player in compatibility mode and check if it helps. if not then you can contact Real support for any new updates for Windows 10.

If I knew what compatibility mode was and how to do that, I'd certainly consider it. :)

Also, the link you posted.. it just has lots of otehr places to visit. All I want is to speak to someone or type 1-2-1 so they can help. That link is VERY confusing to someone who isn't techie-minded (and I assume most who have problems AREN'T techie-minded.. the techie-minded can help themselves).. you need to stop using jargon.. explain stuff FULLY.. in a language people understand.. and make your 'support' pages easier to navigate, as I for one, don;t have a clue where to go.

I’m sorry for that. Compatibility mode is that mode where you can install older program in the latest version of Windows. Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

• Right-click on the setup file and click on ‘Properties’.

• Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibilitymode for’ and select Windows 8/8.1 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

At risk of sounding ungrateful.. what is a set up file? Where do I find it in Windows 10? Did you not read what I just wrote?

Also.. as this is the LATEST version of RealPlayer and the LATEST version of windows 10 and both are bang up to date with updates.. is that really the answer?

EDITED: I have found the file.. changed compatability to windows 8 and then windows 7.. and no change. Which isn't exactly surprising as I have Windows 10. I think we all knew the probable outcome. Even non-techs like me.

Hi Chris,

Setup file as in the real player exe file, the software. Right click on it and run in compatibility mode.

I understand it is the latest version but as a workaround check if it works fine in compatibility mode.
