Microsoft Exchange Server works on the backend of Outlook. The Exchange Server Database has EDB files which co-ordinate with Outlook PST file to make the Outlook work smoothly. The data first goes to EDB file and then to PST. So, if the Outlook PST gets corrupt then EDB files can be converted to PST format to get the data backup. There are lots of EDB to PST Converter available, but we should first try the manual methods to convert EDB files in PST format.
The manual method is completely free and does not involve any commands. Microsoft provides an Exmerge.exe utility which is available for free and efficiently transfers the Exchange Database Files to Outlook PST. Thus Outlook PST can be obtained for free from Exmerge.exe.

2 Steps total
Step 1: Extract EDB Data to New PST
Install and Run the Exmerger.exe tool
Now Sign in to Exchange Server through Exmerge and select the option to Export data
In the selection procedure, click on 'Extract or Import (Two-step procedure)'
In the New Window that opens, select the option 'Extract data from an Exchange Server Mailbox'
Click on the Import Procedure tab and then select the option Archive data to target store
Now the location pre-set up is complete, provide the details for Migration
Step 2: Save Exported Data to PST
Once the set-up is completed then define the location of EDB and PST
In the Message detail, enter the information and create an empty PST folder. Remember the path
Select the mailbox (EDB data) to be exported and click on Next
Now click on the directory where you want to save PST by clicking on 'Change Folder' button
Now Click on Next and check the steps in the process in 'Process Status' window
Finally, click on Finish to move EDB files.
The Exchange Database Files will be moved to Outlook PST and users can check the exported files. Thus Exmerge offers a great advantage in e-mail migration and it can also be used to remove duplicates.

What Exchange Server versions are you using Exmerge now? That is an old tool and while it might work, I am interested to see what Exchange version are you working with that tool.

dbeato, I think that is the older way of doing it. Exmerge works on up to Exchange 2003. Now, it's all powershell based.

It looks like these instructions were based on Stellar Software's EDB to PST converter page (the reference source), which were written about ExMerge with advertisements thrown in for their own software, stating it was compatible up to exchange 2016.
EXMerge was barely compatible with exchange 2007 and would often crash, and fails entirely on anything over 2GB in file size.
I would not consider these relevant or usable for any current products in use.

there are a number of software available to convert EDB to PST, but i recommend you to use paid version, we must have to see that the software supports all exchange servers or not.
